In the fall of 2002, Roosevelt principal Lisa Kodama convened a group of alumni, parents, and staff to discuss ways to develop a source of stable and sustainable income for Roosevelt High School.
Those discussions identified the need to re-energize the RHS Foundation to focus on gathering monies to support consistent and equitable academic access for every student; monies that would not be tied to district budgets or any individual program or administration. The non-profit Roosevelt High School Foundation began its effort to build an Endownment Fund.
